Such sad news to hear about Kerr County last few weeks. Swimming and fishing such a beautiful place to visit. But the devastation of many families whose lives will be forever changed due to the flood in Kerr County and surrounding areas.

Who would have known or thought that these parents and children would never see each other again? From what was supposed to be an amazing time at an all-girls Christian camp, it turned into families’ nightmares or worst dreams. Many fellow Texans are heartbroken and going above and beyond to help support the families who were affected.

The damages were catastrophic, almost like an F5 tornado. Waters were raging, seeping through homes. Water was raging and went up to 28 feet.
Missing vehicles and RVs sweep away with some people still in there. What can one do but panic? We as humans are never ready for anything like this. The sad part is most people were sleeping and on vacation. This is only from videos, footage, pictures, and some of the survivors’ stories.

It’s amazing how many people came together from different towns and even states like Mexico and Oklahoma that we saw were out helping with the rescue. Generous donations from everywhere poured out to the community.
Many pets need foster care and/ or help finding their owners. As we look at the pictures of the pets who were rescued, you can see fear, sadness, maybe some hope in their eyes. Hoping their family is alive and claims them, or someone has the heart to save these pets.

unfortunately we still have many missing but Texas is a strong and loving community that has shown great care by dedicating their time and efforts to help recover the missing people. We are all praying for the safe return of the missing individuals for the sake of their families. From the Heart of Texas we thank everyone who’s been praying and contributing.
