It’s a great way to spend the day for a walk, shopping, and some drinking at the local bars around town the museum has an outdoor exhibit and walking trail that includes 19 life-size dinosaurs and Ice Age animals. There’s even a nature trail to go for hike in the Hill Country State Natural Area where you can connect with natural, a lovely trail you can take for exploring or exercise. You can also swim, float down, or even Picnic down alongside the Medina River which is in Bandera City Park. Check out the oldest store located in the small-town The Bandera General Store where all the locals and tourists go to get an ice cream sundae. Fun fact the general store was built in 1907 which as of this year 2025 it makes the store 118 years old.

My personal favorite is Brick’s River Café, where you can savor the best Southern sweet tea served in charming Mason jars—there’s something special about sipping tea from a jar that makes it feel like a true treat!
